Details:In this two-day workshop for students ages 12+, participants will learn how genetic engineers produce medicine, food, fuel, household products, and now, materials. Genetically-engineered consumer products are in the hands of hundreds of millions of people each day, and this will continue to increase! This course will take you through the experience of engineering bacteria to produce bio-pigments or bio-scents. Participants must agree to attend both afternoon sessions.
