|Details:||The infamous Erotic Poetry & Music Festival is Detroit's oldest community arts festival. This year it celebrates 30 years of fun. An eclectic celebration of the erotic arts! it features provocative poetry, dirty spoken word, erotic art, music, and dance performances by some of the city's top performers and local vendors. It is an evening you wont forget!|
The show is on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 8:00 p.m. doors, 8:30 showtime and 18 & over are welcome. Admission is $15 or $10 advance. Partial proceeds benefit the Michigan non-profit organization "Paws with a Cause.org," who train and provide leader dogs for the disabled. Raffle ticket sales will benefit Care-Rescue.com a local dog and cat rescue group.
The event will be held at THE TANGENT GALLERY/ HASTINGS ST. BALLROOM located at 715 E. Milwaukee in Detroit. (313-873-2955) The 2017 show is sponsored by the Detroit event website and local entertainment supporter, Detroit Can Kick Your Ass.
Highlights of the anniversary show are the return of Queen Bee to the stage! The queen is back for a debut solo performance of three new songs of her own Erotictronica music! Detroits favorite performance artist, Satori Circus returns to the show along with spoken word raconteur Jimmy Doom and crooner Konrad Lee. The visual arts portion of the show features six artists exhibiting their work and a variety of local vendors will be displaying their wares.
