This is an opportunity for your child/adult to showcase their talent! We will be working with The 4th Wall Theatre Company who specializes in empowering people with special needs, to break through the fourth wall, get on stage, and shine! Theatre staff will travel to DeWitt H.S., providing an enriching four week experience to equip participants to showcase their talent for family and friends on the final nite! Each session will be lead by professional 4th Wall Theatre Staff.
***If your child/adult needs an aide, please bring aide along with participant. Do not drop off child/adult alone for the one-hour practice.

Tips/guidelines for parents/guardians:

We are capping registration at 25 - first come/first serve!
Each participant will have a maximum of 2 minutes to perform. It seems like a short amout of time, but with 25 students, this will be a 40+ minute talent show which can feel very, very long for families with children/adults with special needs to sit through.
There are are three parts of theatre - singing, acting, and dancing. Examples including dancing to a popular song, singing to a popular song, or putting on a short skit...any of these make a great talent!
If a student has a talent outside of the theatre - fantastic! We welcome karate, piano playing, gymnastics, etc. As long as you, the family, can supply all the props/items. (Except a piano - the school has one).
Due to the time restraints, your student may be asked to do a group routine instead of a solo. Please prepare your child for this possibility!
