Downeast Island Boat Trip
Saturday, April 5, (Raindate April 6) 8:30am at Schoppee Point Boat Launch
Leaders: Norman Famous, Judy Markowsky
Cost: $30 member $35 non-member. Pre-registration and payment required. Space is limited by boat size. To carpool, meet at Fields Pond Audubon Center at 6:15am.
We’ll meet our boat at 8:30am, at Schoppee Point Boat Launch near Roque Bluff State Park (map 26 in Maine Atlas). As we cruise among the archipelago islands, we’ll help Norm Famous count ducks, grebes, loons, and perhaps Purple Sandpipers and Razorbills, in their best spring plumage. We’ll land on the largest island for lunch.
