Gift of Life International is a Rotarian-based organization that over the past 4 decades has helped more than 18,000 children from emerging countries receive treatment for their heart disease. These children have come from 71 different countries and otherwise would not have been treated.
Join us on February 22 to hear a presentation by Fredlee Kaplan from Gift of Life.
Fredlee Ann Kaplan, Director of Gift of Life International (GOLI), has a Private Practice in Individual, Couple and Family Therapy in New York City. She holds professional licenses in Clinical Social Work (New York and New Jersey), Marital and Family Psychotherapy (New Jersey), and School Psychology (New York). Fredlee has been a member of the Rotary Club of New York since 2007, and is honored to have served as a Director of GOLI since 2011. She served on District 7230 Gift of Life Board, and the Chairman's Council of Gift of Life International. Since 2010, with medical professionals in the Cardiology Department at the Benjamin Bloom Children's Hospital in El Salvador, she has initiated and helped facilitate the development of a Humanized Care Program with 2 components: (1) patient and family centered care for children and their families, and (2) teaching crisis intervention procedures and best practices in empathic care for the medical staff. Additionally, she has implemented the first-ever Humanized Care curriculum for the Professors of Adult and Pediatric Nursing at the University of El Salvador.
She is honored to share the work of GOLI with the members of the Rotary Club of Wall Street and to congratulate them for their extended efforts to save the lives of children throughout the world.

The Rotary Club of Wall Street along with its Rotary Club of Wall Street Foundation, based in the Financial District of New York City, is one of the leading clubs comprising Rotary International. Rotary’s core objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and around the globe. The 1.2 million Rotarians who make up more than 34,000 Rotary clubs in nearly every country in the world share a dedication to the principle of “Service Above Self.”
Our Club members are a diverse group of business professionals, corporate leaders and educators, committed to the service mission of Rotary International. We have spearheaded a number of significant humanitarian initiatives designed for the betterment of the New York City community and communities worldwide, including: Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts; Coalition for the Homeless Food Van; Outreach Meal Packaging Program; Youth Leadership Council in collaboration with the High School of Economics & Finance; the Bowery Mission, Nazareth Housing, and Ronald McDonald House Support Efforts; End Polio Now; Freshwater Projects International; Gift of Life; Shelter Box; Urban Shelter Kits Project; New York Cares Day; Books for Kids; Foundation for the Revival of Classical Culture; and Hands on New York Day.
