Details:*December 9, 2017 – 7th Annual “Dickens Christmas, Ya’ll”, Downtown Tuscumbia
Come enjoy two festive days reminiscent of the holiday classic, "A Christmas Carol." The Christmas Feast 12-8-17, held at the Tuscumbia Depot Roundhouse, consists of a delicious holiday dinner featuring the Charles Dickens characters. On Saturday, 12-9-17, enjoy carriage rides through picturesque downtown Tuscumbia in the snowfall and enjoy the music, arts & crafts, and food vendors as we celebrate, It’s a Dickens Christmas, Ya’ll. 12-9-17: Enjoy the Christmas at Ivy Green tour which is located at 300 North Commons West in Tuscumbia, AL. The historic birthplace and home of America’s First Lady of Courage, Helen Keller, will be adorned with beautiful live holiday decorations. 12-9-17: Everyone is welcome for an evening of English country dancing with music of the period at The Annual Ball of Christmas Past. Evening entertainment begins at 6:30 until 10:00pm. Festivities include exhibitions by dancers and information on foods of the Regency time period. Proper dress of the era is requested and encouraged, but not required. This event is presented by the Natchez Trace Parkway Association Living History, in conjunction with Tuscumbia Retail Development and is held at the Tennessee Valley Country Club’s The Christian Home, 101 West Maple Street in Tuscumbia, AL.
