| Details: | Breath new life into fabrics, clothes and home decor through the art of natural dyeing. This class will be focused on the chemistry of colors with natural dyes, fiber structure, as well as techniques in manipulating the fabric to obtain certain looks. Due to the complexity of the concepts taught in this course it will be best if students have taken the introductory course, or have experience using and handling natural dyes.
Materials included in the course are previously mordanted fabrics, unmordanted fabric, Mason Jars with Lids, Supplies to achieve certain shapes and molona when dyeing, Handout explaining techniques and chemistry notes and PPE. Feel free to bring something from home if you would like to dye it! If you have food allergies please notify us at classes@anchorageremade.com so alternative products are available for you.
Suitable for ages 13 and older. Class size is limited so sign up early! Registration closes on January 26th. |
