Details: | These three sessions are a progressive series- each class will build on the previous class. Our goal is to get you to smoothly integrate… More tricks and air steps into your dancing for jams, performances, etc. We will delve into feeling the rhythm of your tricks with music, transitions in and out of tricks, and adding your flavor to your tricks. Ultimately, each air step should feel like just another move in your dancing. If you want to do tricks and air steps in Lindy Hop, these classes are the real shit.
Pre-requisites: Participants should be comfortable with Frog Jumps and A Frames, and should be ready and excited to work not only on technique, but on strength and mobility as well.
If you are newer to air steps or just want to brush up on your fundamentals, come to this session - https://fb.me/e/35OdGPHvq

Mike Sonder combines his knowledge of music, functional anatomy, physics, and a plethora of dance forms to create classes that are uniquely insightful, inspiring, and challenging. Mike strives to put himself in his students’ shoes so that he can teach as intuitively and thoroughly as possible. He loves seeing students’ eyes light up when they understand a concept or feel a movement work naturally in their body for the first time. Mike has taught in 21 countries and counting. He currently teaches Lindy Hop, solo Jazz, air steps, many different Blues styles, Balboa, and more. Mike has not only placed in and won respected competitions across multiple genres but also thrown down hard in unofficial late night dance-offs. Mike lives and breathes dance. He is constantly honing his skills and developing new ideas. If you run into him at a grocery store, an airport, a museum, or a mountain top, you’ll probably catch him dancing.

She followed her circus dreams to Vermont where she completed NECCA’s professional training program in 2016, specializing in ground acrobatics. She’s spent the last several years continuing to study, perform, and teach various circus disciplines including partner acrobatics, tumbling, trampoline, hand balancing, and flying trapeze. As a coach, she strives to create an environment where every student feels supported and can work in their own way to achieve their goals. She believes in creative problem solving, learning through failure, and laughing loudly when |
