Indulge in the ultimate comfort food with our Chopped Steak with Mushroom Gravy recipe! Tender ground sirloin patties smothered in rich mushroom gravy, it's a hearty meal that's sure to satisfy your cravings.

Ingredients:

2 pounds ground sirloin
1 large egg
1\/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1\/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1\/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons butter, divided
1 1\/2 pounds button mushrooms, sliced
1 large onion, peeled and chopped
1\/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups beef broth
1\/2 cup cooking sherry
1\/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine ground sirloin, egg, panko, Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Mix well and shape into 6 patties.
Heat a large saut pan over medium heat. Melt 1 tablespoon butter, then add the chopped steak patties. Cook for 5 minutes per side, then transfer to a plate and cover with foil.
In the same pan, add the remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Once melted, add onions and saut for 3 minutes. Add mushrooms and thyme, cooking for about 5 minutes until mushrooms release their juices.
Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually add beef broth and sherry, simmering until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
Return the patties to the gravy to rewarm.
Serve the chopped steak warm with generous servings of mushroom gravy. Pair with mashed potatoes or mashed cauliflower for a complete meal.
