Celebrates All People, All Cultures, All Traditions
On Easter Weekend

The All People’s Day Diversity Festival will be back at Delray Beach’s Pompey Park on Saturday March 30, bringing together people from many cultures and backgrounds for a celebration of art, music, dance with a wide array of activities for both children and adults.

A free indoor event on Easter weekend, the All People’s Day Diversity Festival will feature 14 performances, 50 interactive booths – including many featuring non-profit organizations – and free food from local restaurants representing many diverse cultures.

“All People’s Day (APD) is about connecting people from many different cultures and issue through the arts because the arts touch people’s hearts,” said Susan Berkowitz-Schwartz, the founder and president of All People’s Day (APD).

Bringing people together to share cultures has been the goal of the festival, which Berkowitz-Schwartz ran in New Jersey for 35 years before bringing it to Delray Beach.

“All People’s Day is a fun event for everyone but it is so much more,” she said. “It’s about learning from one another through the arts.“

Presented by All People’s Day Inc., the Lake Worth Interfaith Network and the Delray Beach Parks and Recreation Department, All People’s Day has something for just about everyone in the family and even Easter weekend guests from up north.

The main portion of the All People’s Day Festival takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and features as many as 14 diverse song and dance performers. Among those set to perform are the Delray Divas doing African American step dancing; S F Taiko Dojo playing Japanese drums; Pink Slip European duo singers; Rosa Showers who offers total body fitness including the audience; Angel a Caribbean American singer; Rod McDonald a European Folk singer; Kailani C a young dancer, the Gay Men’s Chorus, Carol Garrett singing Jewish songs, Chavanna from Jamaica singing Gospel, and the raging Grannies singing songs to make a better world.
