A free, family-friendly, community patriotic event.Patriotic music by Freestone Flood Band.Lecture by Dr. Samantha Misa, DCHA Educator on Colchester's and Delaware County Revolutionary War soldiers and their impact on the development of Delaware County, NY.Family Arts and Crafts, participants can try six different artistic historical workshops.Colchester American Legion will unveil a historical marker commemorating the 1778 Battle of Downs Brook, plus a discussion and demonstration of flag etiquette, and a reenactment of Gen. George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River.New York State and Delaware County organizations display on environmental issues and the preservation of the Delaware River, the New York Watershed, and the fisheries. |
