Details: | Ages: Open to ages 13-19 In this online course, learn the basics of knotless netting (also called looping) over a small found object, and make your own one-of-a-kind netted pendant. We will focus on learning the basic stitch structure of this versatile craft, and talk about other ways these basic skills can be utilized. You will need something to net over, (a piece of sea glass, rock or pebble, or some other irregularly shaped object) yarn/heavy thread/twine of some kind, and a yarn needle big enough to thread your yarn onto. Beeswax can be helpful but is not essential. Students may choose to request a kit of supplies to be sent to them instead of finding their own. Please contact Erin at SVAC by January 15 if you are interested in this option (which would add approximately $5 to the price of the class). Scholarships available. Please contact Erin at 802.367.1306 or ekaufman@svac.org Tansy Sears is an artist and hand-spinner with wide-ranging interests in traditional and contemporary craft.
