Details: | Nighttime can transform the ordinary into something magical! Join Trailside's Naturalist Kathleen Regan on a semi-private night hike (only 2 families per program) into the Blue Hills Reservation. This program will begin outdoors at the museum where you will discover some of the unique adaptations of owls, practice owl calls, and meet some of the museum's resident owls. This is followed by an evening exploration to search for owls and other nocturnal life, as well as doing some experiments to test your nighttime senses!
Instructions and Directions: To preserve the magic of the night, we ask that only adults carry flashlights. Please wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes as this hike covers uneven terrain (please do not wear sneakers that flash or light up). All participants will be required to wear a face mask and abide by social distancing guidelines. Registered participants will receive an email regarding specific Covid 19 safety protocols prior to the program. This program is not suitable for children under 6 years old. |
