Details: | Join us at Cockayne Farmstead for our Christmas Open House! Come tour the Farmhouse beautifully decorated to reflect Christmas past!
Interpreters in period dress representing members of the Cockayne family will lead you through the Christmas celebrations of four different eras, offering a personal glimpse into the lives of the Cockaynes. Come experience what Christmas was like for each of them and learn the history of some of your favorite Christmas traditions!
The house will be open for tours on Friday, December 4 from 6pm to 8:30 pm, and Sunday, December 6 from 2pm to 5pm. Tours will last approximately a half hour and will depart the Visitor Center every fifteen minutes. Tickets will be $8 for ages 10 and up, $3 for ages 5-10, and free for children under 5. Members of the Marshall County Historical Society will receive a discounted ticket price of $5 for adults.
Tickets will be available for purchase in the Visitor Center during the event, or can be reserved in advance for a specific time by calling the Farmstead at (304) 845-1411. To prevent the spread of disease, tour groups will be limited to 5 people (except families), and we request that you wear masks during the tour. |
