| Details: | The Makerspace Institute at Olin College of Engineering is a three-day in-person immersive program designed for educators, academic leaders, makerspace staff, and K–12 or higher education professionals. The program focuses on transforming makerspaces into effective learning ecosystems by emphasizing culture, curriculum integration, safety systems, and student engagement. Participants engage in hands-on sessions in fabrication tools such as 3D printing, laser cutting, woodworking, and machining, while also learning how to design inclusive and sustainable makerspace environments. The program includes workshops, panels, peer discussions, and direct observation of Olin’s student-led makerspace model. It is intended to help institutions align makerspace practices with educational goals and institutional missions |
