Details: | The Walk for Independence supports the Carroll Center for the Blind's mission of empowering those who are blind or visually impaired to achieve independence and to lead a fulfilling life.
Attendees will complete a 1, 2, or 3-mile walk around the Mt. Ida campus of UMass Amherst in Newton followed by activities for all ages.
Registration: 8:00 am
Walk kick-off: 9:00 am
Post-walk BBQ and activities: 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
* Meet 2004 Red Sox World Series Champion Lenny DiNardo and Red Sox mascots Wally & Tessie!
* Try your hand at Beep Baseball and Archery and watch a police dog presentation.
* Touch-a-truck, bounce house, face painting, and crafts. |
