| Details: | The Tall Ships will sail through the Archipelago of Hvaler into the harbor of Fredrikstad, a town on the southern tip of the Oslo Fjord in Norway. This event will occur on the 15th of July 2023 and the sail-out happens on the 18th of July. Come join all the festivities and view the races. On July 18th, we will join one of the smaller ships in the final sail out. Imagine sailing the fjords amidst those billowing sails mounted on mighty masts of ships of yore!
During our 6-day Oslo stay, we will visit the Opera House, the Astrup Fearnley Museum, Vigeland Park, the new Munch Museum there, and the newly constructed National Museum, which opened in 2022. The nearby Nobel prize museum is also very interesting, as is the Viking museum (if open) and the outdoor Folk Museum. A day of free time will allow you to visit more of Oslo's fine museums and sites and a day-long excursion to Kistefos will introduce us to fine sculpture and glassworks.
