| Details: | The Jimmy McIntosh MBE Piobaireachd Workshop is a multi-day instructional event organized by the Pittsburgh Piping Society that continues the tradition of teaching piobaireachd, the classical music of the Highland bagpipe. The weekend includes masterclasses where pipers perform for feedback, classroom sessions for learning tunes on practice chanters, optional social gatherings (ceilidhs), and performances by scholarship recipients. Instruction is led by respected pipers and longtime students in the Balmoral tradition cultivated by the late Jimmy McIntosh MBE. |
