Details: | This piano concert by Young Sun Choi inaugurates the Tenth Annual Ignacy Jan Paderewski Piano Festival of Raleigh. The Tenth Festival celebrates the 100th anniversary of Ignacy Jan Paderewski's second appearance in Raleigh, NC, which took place on November 23, 1923, at the old Municipal Auditorium. Ms. Choi's program will be:
HUMORESQUES, op.14 -- Ignace Jan PADEREWSKI (1860 - 1941) Menuet, Sarabande, Burlesque, Caprice a la Scarlatti SONATA, No. 1 in F# minor, op.11 -- Robert SCHUMANN (1810 - 1856) I. Un poco adagio - Allegro vivace II. Aria: senza passione, ma espressivo III. Scherzo: Allegrissimo - Intermezzo: Lento. Alla burla, ma pomposo - Tempo I IV.
