Details:Beach, Please! A Recovery Wellness Experience
Join us for Beach, Please!, a weekly wellness-focused gathering designed to support recovery through connection, movement, and the healing power of nature. Starting May 4th, 2026, well meet every Monday at Durand Eastman Beach Lot A at 11:30 AM and spend the late morning and early afternoon immersed in the restorative elements of sun, sand, and water. Well wrap up our time together at 2:30 PM.

Limited transportation is available from ROCovery (1035 Dewey Ave, Rochester, NY 14613). Arrive by 10:45 AM if you plan to catch a ride or consider carpooling with others who will be attending.

Our time at the beach is centered around wellness, mindfulness, and joy. Activities may include yoga, guided meditation, journaling, beach sports, swimming, fishing (with a valid license), and more. Whether youre moving your body, reflecting quietly, or connecting with others, the beach provides a powerful setting for grounding and renewal.

There is something deeply healing about being present in naturethe rhythm of the waves, the warmth of the sun, and the openness of the shoreline all offer space to breathe, reset, and reconnect with yourself. These moments of presence can be incredibly supportive in recovery, helping to reduce stress, improve mood, and foster a sense of peace and clarity.

Come prepared with your own beach essentials, including towels, sunscreen (SPF), a bathing suit, and anything else you need to stay comfortable. Participants are also responsible for bringing their own food and water.

This event is weather dependent, so be sure to check our social media pages each week for updates or cancellations.
Come as you are, and take a step toward healing, one wave at a time.

This is a family friendly event (suitable for children with parent\/guardian supervision).

All our classes and events are free and open to anyone with at least 48-hours of continuous sobriety. First time participants, please fill out a membe
