The historic Village of Manchaug will be celebrated as a traditional winter wonderland as Vaillancourt Folk Art and District V partner with the Sutton Historical Society and the Manchaug Civic Organization to promote the Manchaug Stroll--an outdoor event designed to educate, entertain, and toast Christmas in the 1650s village. On Saturday, December 9 from 4 to 8 p.m., you can expect to meet Dickensian era carolers as well as St. Nicholas and Krampus while attendees jovially finish their Christmas shopping while strolling the downtown Village of Manchaug. The Sutton Fire Department will be maintaining outdoor fire pits and to help keep you warm while the Sutton Historical Society walks you through the history of the historic mill village. Food will be available for sale at both Vaillancourt Folk Art and District V and an outdoor Christmas bar will allow everyone to enjoy the warm glow from Manchaug Common's lit Christmas Tree. This is a free event intended to bring together heart of Sutton through the merriment of the holiday season.
