Details: | Even before its designation as a national park, Mount Rainier also known as Tahoma to many, has drawn tourists, climbers, and nature lovers to its snowy slopes. Today, it continues to spark our imaginations as one of the state’s most beloved landmarks. In the artworks and photographs paired with early mountaineering gear and park souvenirs, the mountain is always out at the Washington State History Museum.
