Location: ArtsWorcester (44 Portland Street, Worcester MA)
Free and open to all \/\/ Cash bar
In the West Gallery, solo exhibitions Bridey McGlynn: Expanded Bodies and Caitlyn Marsh: Lithological are installed side-by-side and compliment one another with color palettes and themes of humanity. Expanded Bodies is a series of abstracted acrylic works that reference the human body to explore perception and contours of material and the self. With sculptural, spontanious clay works, Lithological considers concepts of power and fragility of Earth, its materials, and mankind.
In the East Gallery, Still: A Juried Exhibition takes inspiration from a classic genre. Some still lifes are traditional, and some are reimagined in content and medium. Artworks were selected by Rachel Passannante, Assistant Director and Collections Manager at Danforth Art Museum.
This event is free and open to the public. A cash bar will be available at the event.
These exhibitions will be on view during gallery hours from May 20 - June 21, Wednesdays through Sundays, each day from 12pm - 5 pm. Gallery hours are free, and open to all.
Parking is available at the Worcester Public Library (McGrath) Lot, Federal Plaza Garage, Worcester Common Garage, and Pearl-Elm Garage. Metered street parking is also available. On weekends, and on weekdays after 5:00 PM, visitors may park in the Printers Building parking lot free of charge. Please do not park in the lot across the street from the Printers Building; you will be immediately towed.
