Pattern: Purchase one of the following Christmas Stocking patterns by: Doreen Delaney Giordano
Uncle’s Christmas Stocking
Grandma’s Argyle Sock Christmas Stocking
A New Baby’s Christmas Stocking
A New Mom’s Christmas Stocking
A New Dad’s Christmas Stocking
Patterns may be purchased in store at Casting On, or through Ravelry here:
http://www.ravelry.com/designers/dorene-delaney-giordano

Cost of Class: $60

Yarn: The pattern suggests sport weight yarn, but you could also use fingering weight or DK weight yarn. Your stocking would turn out a bit smaller with fingering weight yarn, and a bit bigger with DK weight yarn.
If using Sport weight or Fingering weight yarn, you will need close to 300 yds of the main color, and about 150 yds of the contrast color. If using DK weight yarn, you will likely need closer to 350 yds of the main color and about 200 yds of the contrast color.

Needles: To begin, you will need needles suitable for small circumference knitting. (Double point needles, 2 circular needles, or 1 long circular needle for working magic loop.)
Once past the toe, you should be able to work the stocking on a 16” circular needle.
The size of your needles will depend on the yarn you select.
Fingering weight yarn: Size 1 Sport weight yarn: Size 2 or 3 DK weight yarn: Size 3 or 4

Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors
