Healing Health One by One, Community by community
Black men with sickle cell disease (SCD) face unique health and mental health challenges. Studies show that nearly 40 of individuals with SCD experience depression and anxiety, yet many do not receive adequate support due to stigma and healthcare disparities. The intersection of chronic pain, healthcare bias, and social isolation makes mental health advocacy in the SCD community critical. Join DiscoveringMoorer2Life for an informative and empowering event! Date: May 10, 2025 Time: 10 AM 2 PM Location: Morehouse School of Medicine, 436 Lee Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30310 This Mens Sickle Cell and mental Health Educational Symposium will feature a panel of men who will share their lived experiences, expert insights, and discuss breaking barriers in mental and physical health.
