Prepare yourself for an unforgettable journey into The Weird Frontier, an improv show that promises to leave you quaking in your boots with fear (and laughter of course!)
As the sun dips low on the horizon, three dusty strangers will gather round a crackling campfire, and invite you to mosey on over and lend an ear. One by one, theyll improvise tall tales of ungodly monsters and otherworldly phenomena thatll make your hair stand on end.
Inspired by the best of spaghetti westerns, horror, and pulpy adventure tales, The Weird Frontier is a delicious melting pot of genres. From the gritty landscapes of Tombstone and True Grit to the eerie atmospheres of The Thing and 30 Days of Night, The Weird Frontier draws upon a rich tapestry of influences, blending them into a unique and captivating experience.
Prepare to be swept away by a dust devil of adventure as The Weird Frontier takes you through spooky, eerie, forbidden realms. Each night of The Weird Frontier is completely different! Were making this all up on the spot right before your very eyes!
Not only are the plot, dialogue and characters of The Weird Frontier made up on the spot, the monster costume and makeup will be created as the show is being performed! A team of highly skilled costumers led by Cindy Page will create a unique look for the monsters in the show every night, never seen before, never to be seen again!
Director Jordan T. Maxwell, a lifelong fan of westerns and monsters, has poured his passion into this project, creating a theatrical extravaganza that promises to entertain in unexpected ways.
Ive loved westerns and monsters ever since I was a kid, Maxwell says, watching old movies with my Dad and reading horror comics and novels, so the idea of exploring the combination of the two just made me |
