Details: | Bartlesville Community Concert's 2022-23 season and individual tickets are on sale beginning AUG 1 through OCT 9. It's going to be a super season with 4 shows for all music lovers! Bartlesville Community Concert Association (BCCA) is dedicated to bringing family-friendly entertainment to the Bartlesville area at family friendly prices, and this year will be no exception. With a show for those who love the music of James Taylor, or are spellbound by the piano performances by a Steinway artist, or are captivated by the a cappella sound now being featured on a YouTube channel with millions of fans, or those who want to celebrate the music of Chicago's many gold and platinum recordings, there is something special this season for everyone in the family.
The four concerts will each take place at the Bartlesville Community Center. Two are Sunday afternoon matinees, and two are evening performances. Details for each concert are shown below. On Sun Oct 9, 2022 at 3:00pm, the BCCA '22-23 season opens with "How Sweet It Is, The Music of James Taylor." James Leslie, a Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist performs the music of one of his greatest influences, James Taylor. Steve's warm baritone and exceptional guitar technique will have you singing along to this incredible catalog of Taylor's songs.
The 2nd concert of the series, on Mon Nov 14, 2022 at 730pm, brings back to Bartlesville the Steinway Artist "David Osborne, Pianist to the Presidents." David's first appearance in Bartlesville met with rave reviews - no surprise considering he's played more than 50 times for all the modern administrations in the White House and is resident pianist at the Bellagio in Los Vegas. He originally hails from Miami, OK and was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2021.
On Sun Mar 12, 2023 at 2:00pm, "Backtrack Vocals", a 5-person professional a cappella singing group from New York City will be in Bartlesville. Backtrack got their start on YouTube in 2013 and have now taken the world by storm, amassing over 100k subscribers with a staggering 10 million views across their channel. They currently take their music worldwide with national and international performances. and have won numerous awards.
The 4th and final concert of the season brings "A Celebration of the Music of Chicago - Beginnings" to the Bartlesville stage on Sun May 14, 2023 at 7:30pm. Said to be the best tribute show around to the legendary rock band Chicago, Beginnings brings all the enthusiasm and excitement you would expect from a big arena concert. And its published reviews point out that not only is it super entertaining, but it's also family-friendly and appeals to music lovers of all ages.
