| Details: | Baton Roots is proud to host Sow Good Saturdays each Saturday at the Community Farm at BREC Howell Park. In partnership with Mayor-President Sharon Weston-Broome’s Geaux Get Healthy Initiative, we are excited to meet our neighbors and grow our edible gardens network!
During harvest hours from 10 AM to 12 PM, community members will have the opportunity to pick fresh seasonal veggies, share healthy recipes, tend to our raised bed Harmony Gardens, and learn best practices from the experts.
Volunteers and farm hands are required to wear masks or face coverings at the farm and are encouraged to practice social distancing and frequent hand washing to help prevent community spread. In this way, we are able to not only provide healthy food to our neighbors but also maintain a space for the Baton Rouge community to gather safely amidst the COVID-19 pandemic!
