JUNE 11. ERICA MANCINI TRIO with special guest SMOKEY HORMEL

Erica Mancini is a multi-instrumentalist (accordion/vocals/percussion/keys) based in New York City. Mancini plays in dozens of different projects, ranging in style from avant-garde, experimental, noise, jazz and free improvisation to Bavarian polka, county, classical, klezmer, folk/Americana, pop, cumbia, rock, and metal. She has performed at venues ranging from Lincoln Center, The Museum of Natural History, The Whitney Museum of Modern Art, The Rainbow Room, World Trade Center One, Bryant Park Metropolitan Club and The New School, and performed in settings ranging from DIY art parties in Brooklyn warehouses to shows in cemeteries, on boats, and in metal working factories. She has recorded for commercial work and performed on-screen as well as composed original themes for stop-motion animation. Erica is constantly expanding her use of electronics with the accordion and improvisation to create original sounds and explore new musical territory.

Guitarist Smokey Hormel's touring and recording career includes work with Tom Waits, Beck, Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer, Neil Diamond, Norah Jones and Adele, among many others. He
explores American Roots music, Western Swing, Bossa Nova, and African music in both his work as a sideman as well as with his own musical endeavors Smokey's Secret Family and Smokey's Round-up.

JUNE 18. CHARLES BURNHAM TRIO

Charles Burnham is an American violinist and composer with a unique highly imaginative style that crosses genres, including bluegrass, delta punk, free jazz, blues, classical and chamber jazz. He often performs with a wah-wah pedal. He initially became renowned for his work on James "Blood" Ulmer's Odyssey album. The musicians on that album later performed and recorded as Odyssey the Band. Charles was also a member of the String Trio of New York, and currently plays in the 52nd Street Blues Project, Hidden City, We Free StRings, Improvising Chamber Ensemble and the Kropotkins.
