Thunderbird Artists, the leading producer of fine art events in the southwest, is thrilled to present the Thunderbird Artists Spring Carefree Fine Art & Wine Festival, our twenty-eighth spring—and eighty-eighth seasonal—festival in downtown Carefree. As with all Thunderbird Artists events, guests can view fine art selected through a comprehensive jury process, sample fine wines and spirits, snack on festival food, and listen to live music, all while soaking in the sunshine, reveling in the mountain views, and meeting artists and fellow art lovers. This year’s featured artist is husband and wife team of Mary Hone, a wildlife photographer and advocate for wild horses, and the versatile Al Hone, wood sculptor, bronze sculptor, and charcoal artist.

The festival is also home to 160 other world-class artists displaying pieces in a variety of avenues and subject matters, from paintings in all mediums, to blown glass, hand thrown pottery, wood works, gourd carvings, metalsmithing, small, medium to life-sized sculptures in metal, stone, bronze and mixed-media, to photography, one-of-a-kind jewelry and more!

This spring fine art event, widely known as “…a Collector’s Paradise”™, will take place in the heart of downtown Carefree, surrounded by beautiful gardens emphasizing the plants and cacti indigenous to the Arizona desert. Hours are 10am to 5pm each day.
