Details:Welcome Back to LIVE Masses

“I rejoiced when they said to me, ‘let us go to the house of the Lord’ (Ps. 122: 1).” We at Holy Redeemer parish rejoice at the news that starting this Saturday with our 5:00 p.m. Vigil Mass, we will resume our weekend schedule of Masses.

Once again on Saturday evening and Sunday morning, Mass will be open to the public. In accordance with Archdiocesean directives and public health recommendations, the church will be opened at a reduced capacity, in order to ensure social distancing. Upon arrival, you will notice pews roped off to maintain this distancing and cleaning supplies which we ask that you use in the pew you will be seated in. Like with other public spaces, we ask that you bring a mask with you to use whenever you are in the church.

Please enter the church through the front door; the Mezzanine door will only be open from within the church to allow access to the restrooms, which will be cleaned after every Mass. While visiting we ask as well that you be attentive to further instruction from the Mass presider, as the process for communion and departure will be somewhat different from what you are used to. Additionally, you will notice members of our newly created, Health & Safety Ministry, a small team of people who will be helping to coordinate arrival, departure, and especially clean-up. We ask that you kindly cooperate with their efforts, in order to help us all ensure as safe a worship environment as is possible.

As part of our preparation for the resumption of public worship on Sunday, this Saturday, June 20th, the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered in the church from 2:00-5:00 p.m.

We understand and appreciate the concerns that many still experience about returning to public spaces. Once more we would like here to note that the dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass is still in effect, indefinitely.

For those who share such concerns but are open to a home visitation for communion, please let the parish office know, and we will make every effort to coordinate a visit.

Again, we greatly look forward to resuming our weekend schedule, and look forward to seeing familiar faces here in the coming weeks. Let us all continue to keep one another in our prayers during these challenging times, and please be assured of our continued prayers for you all.

Fr. Mark, Fr. Andrew and our Parish Ministry Staff
