| Details: | Rebirth in the Clearing is a rest and healing retreat for Black women Memorial Day weekend, May 26-29, at Blackland Ranch in Commerce, TX.
Dear Black Women:
It is our time to slow down and breathe. It is our time to find relief from pressure and stress and commit to a practice of self-care and rest. If you’re ready for this type of liberation, join us Memorial Day weekend at Rebirth in the Clearing, a deeply rooted, community-based, rest and healing retreat for Black women.
Hosted by Linda Jones, the Writing Doula and CEO of Manelock Communications, LLC, and Sherri Doucette, founder and executive director of Litehouse Wellness, the retreat will be held on May 26-29 at Blackland Ranch and Wholeness Center, on 40 Black-owned acres in Commerce, Texas.
Rebirth in the Clearing will provide respite for Black women who are weary, spirit-drained and emotionally depleted. It will be a safe and sacred space where you will not be burdened with the expectations of being superhuman and perpetually strong. Our retreat will provide sanctuary to relax, release and just be--unapologetically. Our team of experienced Wellness Keepers will be present to hold space and honor your mission to heal:
During this weekend of radical rest and rejuvenation, guests will experience 24 hours of silence. This full day will be spent without verbal, digital or tech communication, clearing the path to be still, or "tarry" and listen to nature, ancestral whispers, and messages of healing. The weekend also includes rituals for release, receptivity and replenishment. There will be sound bathing, meditation, reflective journaling, nature walks, music, song, stretching, and free movement. Nourishment will consist of chef prepared plant-based meals and non-alcoholic beverages.
Our guests will stay at Ibu Hall, the spacious climate-controlled retreat center and the stand-alone huts near the pond that offer a village-like experience.
