Details: | My goal in this workshop is to help you get familiar with the native brook trout streams in the Shenandoah National Park including the best times of year to fly fish, the major hatches, stream access, and tactics. In a classroom setting, I will feature a slide show and a map review of the Shenandoah National Park in order to share with you my 40+ years of fishing in these small mountain streams. The Shenandoah National Park asked me to write a book on the Park many years ago, to which I did. Trout Fishing in the Shenandoah National Park by Harry Murray is the official book for the Park. By using this book and the maps we have in the fly shop in Edinburg, VA I can help you find some of the best streams to fish in the Shenandoah National Park. Please note that you will not be on the stream for any part of this workshop. Most beginners take this 2 hour class and then follow up with our On The Stream Mountain Trout Schools in the spring. Space is limited so reserve your spot today! |
