Whether you are embarking on a serious study of ceramics, or just looking to unwind and have fun with clay, this class is for you! Join us for this class as we introduce fundamental techniques, design, and vocabulary used to create various basic forms on the potter’s wheel. We will focus on building foundational skills like wedging and centering to maximize your success; then we’ll explore simple forms such as mugs, vases and bowls as well as basic finishing techniques. Students with a bit of experience are welcome to join this Saturday class and use this time to further develop skills, work with larger pieces of clay and more complex forms. Whatever your goals are, come join the fun!
Clay package: $37 includes 25 lbs. of stoneware clay, glazes and firing.
Tool kits and sponges are available for purchase at the first class; please bring a towel for personal clean-up.
Includes a locker & studio use, by reservation only, during open hours. |
