| Details: | EWI is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization established in San Francisco in 1938. The Phoenix Chapter was chartered in 1957.
EWI is committed to the international promotion of literacy awareness among both children and adults, which has been the focus of Phoenix EWI’s philanthropy projects since 1974. Projects vary but all have the same goal, to make a lasting and positive impact on our communities.
This event is a significant source of income for sponsoring our many community service programs each year:
Reading Rally – Literacy program for children
EWI’s EWISP – Needs based scholarships provided to high school students for college
EWI’s ASIST – Needs based scholarship for adults returning to school
