Details:Yoga Studies Class for inspired students
Wednesdays at 5:30pm
Instructor: Terry Brown

This class is for teachers and students of yoga that wish to take their practices and studies of yoga to new dimensions. The requirements are a desire for personal growth and transformation. This class offers the next step.

Topics presented will include general sequences that can be practiced at home or on the Yoga Wall, as well as how to sequentially prepare the body for the more challenging postures, therapeutic sequences, pranayama practices, and meditations.

July 2024 Studies:

July 3Yoga for Spinal Health and Back Strength
This active practice will help release tension in the back and spinal muscles and help develop strength and flexibility. For the spine to maintain healthy alignment, poor postural habits need to be reversed and mental stress released. All Levels.

July 10Yoga for Pain Relief
One of the reasons chronic pain is so challenging is that it goes beyond just a physiological presence of pain, and begins to affect the mind-body connection. Mild to Moderate exercise is an evidence based practice shown to decrease physical pain. Increase oxygen to the brain and muscle tissues can help with the sense of well-being. The breathing practices can help release muscle tension around the areas of pain. Yoga Nidra can help retrain the mind to change your focus so attention to pain decreases. Explore these practices and take care of your needs to maintain control of your pain and your life. All Levels.

July 17Unlocking Thoracic Mobility and Creating Shoulder Stablity
This class will use the MeltMethod Soft Foam Roller to release tension in the thoracic area and improve connective tissue hydration around the shoulders. Then the class introduces some exceptional practices to help create stable shoulders that can then help hold the upper torso in place. Zoom participates will need a MeltMethod Soft Foam Roller. All Levels.
