The Folk Club of Reston-Herndon presents the Heather Pierson Duo to open their 2023-2024 Concert Season this coming Tuesday September 19th at Amphora Diner Deluxe (1151 Elden St.) in downtown Herndon. Founded in 1985, the non-profit Folk Club has presented outstanding performers for nearly 40 years and offers a premier listening room experience for musicians and audience members alike.

Heather Pierson is a New Hampshire based singer/songwriter, pianist, song leader, and performer with a passion for cultivating joy, both onstage and off. With a toe in each of the realms of New Orleans jazz, blues, vocal chants, instrumental piano, and folk, her multi-genre songwriting places her in a category all of her own, one honed by decades of diligent preparation and curious exploration.

Whether performing solo or with her duo partner/bassist Shawn Nadeau, Heather's live performance feature her bell-tone vocals, ease at the piano, and are infused with happiness, honest self-reflection, and a genuine desire to connect and share from the heart.

In over 20 years on her own record label, Vessel Recordings, Heather has released 15 albums and several singles reflecting her boundless creativity. Her life's work is to share her love of the language of music and gratitude for life with others, one song, one heart, and one moment at a time.
