| Details: | My work responds to the effects of disability on my personality and studio practice. Being in a constant state of recovery forces me to reexamine the way I work regularly as I continue to move forward (or maybe sideways). I am interested in where this experience intersects with queer identity and how these discrete yet intertwining perspectives allow me to explore supposed contradictions. During this time, I find my work is between fibers and printmaking, with a strong emphasis on the combination of multiple techniques. This approach allows me to fully express my ideas while also being mindful and compassionate towards my body, which continues to amaze me with its resilience. |
