Title: Weekday Series: Summer Delights Stained Glass

Description: This 5 brass ring holds a butterfly and part of a sunflower for you to enjoy throughout the year. Construction for this Intermediate class uses copper foil and the openwork technique. Glass cutting experience required. New techniques : 3d layering and copper foil lamination.

Instructor: Karen Reed has been an art glass professional for over 35 years. Her work has been purchased for private collections in several countries, was requested for Christmas display at The White House, and is carried in galleries in four states. She has been a published, contributing editor for GLASS Craftsman magazine for 13 years. She has also written for: International Guild of Glass Artists publication: Common Ground Glass, Glass Art, the e-magazine artglassinfo.com, Fired Arts and Crafts and The Crafts Report. Teaching is a major component of Karens work. She has previously taught at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC and has delighted in teaching at Arrowmont School for Arts Crafts and Appalachian Center for Crafts for over a decade. Locally, her work is available at The Huntsville Museum of Art and The Huntsville Art League (Lowe Mill).

Supplies and Attire: All materials and supplies will be provided. Students should wear close-toed shoes.

Time: Tuesday, June 11th (9:00-2:30)

Tuition: $90.00
