Classical Drawing and Painting / Portfolio Prep Option/ All Media/ All Levels
**INSTRUCTORS REQUIRE MASKS TO BE WORN IN CLASS**
This series of classes will guide the student in all classical drawing and painting media, including pastels.
Beginning students will receive a fundamental drawing program which presents the classical concepts of the basic geometric shapes, observational point of view, 'sighting', crosshatching, value, positive & negative form, composition, color and perspective.
Intermediate/ Advanced students will be guided in the above concepts and encouraged to pursue further evolution in technique and style utilizing implied depth, spatial concepts, visual flow and the importance of harmonizing all of the foregoing concepts in the image
Portfolio Prep students will also receive the fundamental drawing program and be guided through the requirements of their portfolio. Most schools require a variety of subject matter and a variety of media in the portfolio. This includes still life, self-portrait, Life Drawing, landscape, interior. Some portfolios allow works from imagination. The instructors would guide the student in selecting the required number of images for the portfolio, usually 15 to 20. In 30 years 100% of our diligent portfolio students have been accepted into their art schools of choice.
