We are celebrating 26 years’ of fond memories of culture, community and commerce. Join us for one day or both days, on the first weekend in August, Friday the 5th & Saturday 6th, for the Jamaica Arts & Music Summer (JAMS) Festival that attracts over 200,000 residents and visitors to downtown Jamaica. To celebrate, we begin with a moonlight evening concert called JAMS Under the Stars and continue the next day with JAMS Festival on 10 blocks of Jamaica Avenue to commemorate this historic milestone.
JAMS Festival
The main event, Jamaica Arts & Music Summer (JAMS) Festival, is a day of multi-cultural & educational family fun, shopping, community resources & entertainment. Located on (10) blocks of Jamaica Ave., and (closed of vehicular traffic) from Parsons Blvd. to 170th Streets to host one of the largest tourist destinations in Queens.
History of the JAMS Festival
The JAMS Festival is comprised of two days on the first weekend in August along ten blocks of Jamaica Avenue, which are closed to vehicular traffic. Attracting upwards of 200,000 + residents & visitors to downtown Jamaica, the JAMS Festival showcases the diverse cultural talents, foods, arts & crafts of the Borough of Queens, promoting family and Youth centered activities, the work of Collaborative Members, community partners and tourism for Jamaica, Queens. A highlight of the festival is the ‘JAMS under the Stars’ kick off evening concert on Friday.

Kicks off the festivities with an evening concert which pays homage to one of the musical genres of Jazz, R&B, Rock, Hiphop and Funk in the beautiful green Rufus King Park (Jamaica Ave., btw 150th & 153rd Sts), FRIDAY, 8/5 Time: 6:00PM

Jamaica Arts & Music Summer (JAMS) Festival - open-air festival begins with over 400 multicultural food and merchandise vendors representing world cultures, on 10 Blocks of Jamaica Ave. (btw Parsons Blvd. & 170th Streets), closed to vehicular traffic, 8/6 Time: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
