Celtica Nova Bio:

Celtica's history started in 2009 when several European and American musicians got together in Phoenix, AZ to record their first CD "Rising" and headed to Grand Canyon and Monument Valley for their first video shoot. The combination of the traditional sound of Scottish bagpipes with the power of a Rock Band promised tobecome a recipe for quick success.During the summer touring season of 2010 they played most of Europe's major Celtic and/or Scottish themed festivals, as well as many local Music and Art Festivals, taking them to Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Croatia, and Austria, just to name a few. Their first CD "Rising" becomes a "Celtic" favorite on European radio stations and a hot seller on Internet Music outlets. The 2011 season extends Celtica's "touring territory" to more countries (Netherlands, Slovenia) and even bigger festivals, while they start working on their second CD "Oceans of Fire". Trying to extend their popularity "across the pond", they start gaining notoriety with several US and Canadian promoters, leading to the planning of their first North American Tour for Fall of 2012.Energized by their second CD release "Oceans of Fire", Celtica was booked solid on the European festival circuit from May to October 2012, followed by a string of appearances in Canada and the US, including prestigious Celtic Festivals at New Hampshire Highland Games, Canmore (CAN), Oklahoma Scotfest, and Pipes in the Valley (CT).In 2013, Celtica performed at many of the biggest Celtic Music Festivals: Grandfather Mountain HGs, Pleasanton HGs, Newport Celtic Rock Festival (alongside Dropkick Murphys!), Longs Peak Scottish Irish Festival, Alaska HGs a.m.m., in addition to another extended European tour, including Spain, France, Netherlands, Germany, and Italy.A special moment in band history occurred when both their CDs simultaneously occupied spots No.1 & 2 in CdBaby's Celtic Top Seller list.In 2014, the release of their third CD "Legends and Visions" was accompanied by their longest US and EU tours to date: 59 shows in 8 Months, including renown "North Texas Irish Fest", "Galway Bay Irish Music festival" a.m.m., and opened upinvitations to Shamrock Fest DC and Milwaukee Irish Festival for 2015.

It only took a few years for Celtica to be invited to play the world's biggest Metal Festival: W.O.A. in Wacken, Germany. Sharing stages with Judas Priest, Rob Zombie, and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra was one of their 2015 highlights. Soon afterwards, they were invited to play several of shows on Hawaii, USA, where a spectacular music video was made. Also noteworthy, Celtica have been awarded the much coveted MacDudel Music Award by European Celtic Radio giant "Schottenradio". More than 250000 votes and 4 weeks on the top of the Celtic music charts brought this music award forthe original song "Cape Horn".2016 was the year of their latest Symphonic/Celtic Rock masterpiece, the album "Steamphonia". Featuring classical orchestra arrangements and a 30 piece choir, a new standard was set for the bands sophisticated sound, consisting of all original compositions.Italy's biggest Celtic Music festival in Montelago was the backdrop for Celtica's biggest project in 2017: recording for a live DVD/BluRay with a classical orchestra and choir. It was also their first appearance at what is considered the "world's largest Irish Music festival", the Milwaukee Irish Fest.As mentioned earlier, the live double CD from their epic performance with choir and orchestra was released later in 2017, whereas 2018 brought the long awaited release of their live DVD from the same show.

Hartford, CT based promoter Gail McClellan calls Celtica "THE new band on the international Celtic music scene", and she goes on to say, "I really loved the Celtica CD; their music is very appealing, they have exciting stage presence, notto mention the fire show which people love; their appearance in the U.S and especially New England is a rare and unique opportunity".2020 was on track to bring several new heights, like being part of the "Release the Craic'n Irish Rock Cruise" from NYC to the Bahamas, but was tragically derailed by the COVID-19 lockdown measures and the ensuing ban on live music events (and cruise ships altogether). The year was used to record and release several more songs and videos and enjoying unprecedented success on Facebook's "watch" video page. The fall of 2021 saw the rebound of the live music scene, and with bookings all throughout 2022, Celtica continued to entertain their fans at US festivals. Notably, band member Jane Espie was recruited to star in ITV's U.K. version of "Game of Talents" (Episode 7), airing on a Saturday prime time slot to 1M+ simultaneous viewers. New festivals include the New Mexico Celtic Renaissance festival in Edgewater and the Sun Coast renaissance festival in Sarasota, FL.The 2022/23 season promises a full touring rebound, with bookings in CA, TX,AZ, NM, OK, HI, WI, NY, CT, PA, AK, and FL.
