The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a fast-paced and funny D-E-L-I-G-H-T. As six wonderfully unique and impassioned contestants vie for the championship by spelling their way through vexing vocabulary, hilarious and poignant personal stories unfold…along with a dash of delightful audience participation. As contestants white-knuckle adolescence and the heat of competition, their emotions run from A to Z — but they step up to the mic anyway because they love spelling, and because being a champion could solve everything.

Music and lyrics by Tony Award® winner William Finn and a book by Tony Award® winner Rachel Sheinkin, conceived by Rebecca Feldman with additional material by Jay Reiss.

Come join in (and I do mean L-I-T-E-R-A-L-L-Y) on all the fun and pandemonium! Perhaps you can be a guest speller!

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee contains some adult themes and language. This production is best suited for those over the age of 13 and is presented by special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
