The 2-Day, 16-Hour SOLO Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course provides a comprehensive introduction to managing injury and medical emergencies in remote and austere settings. Designed for outdoor enthusiasts, trip leaders, and those responsible for others in remote venues, this intensive, hands-on training develops the skills and confidence needed to assess, treat, and stabilize patients when emergency services or rescue agencies are more than 1 hour away.
Through expert-led instruction and realistic hands-on scenarios, participants gain practical experience in wilderness medicine fundamentalsfrom patient assessment and wound care to environmental emergencies and evacuation planning.
This certification course meets the first-aid requirements of the American Canoe Association, Paddle UK, the American Camping Association, and several other national governing bodies and organizations that require wilderness medical training. |
