| Details: | Been thinking about taking the plunge and performing in public? We would LOVE to have you at our Open Mic Nights with Jeem! This is a great opportunity to get your public performance feet wet in a safe, loving, and accepting environment!

FAQ
Q: I want to perform at DAME open mic. How do I sign up?
A: Just show up! Our signup process is very informal. All you need to do is find Jeem near the back\/patio entrance and let them know you're ready to go on. If you would like to perform at a specific time within our 8-10pm schedule, we can arrange that too!
Q: What equipment is available, and can I bring my own?
A: Yes, you can bring any equipment you need to put on your show. We provide 1-2 microphones, an amp with 2 audio inputs, and a bluetooth speaker to be used by performers. Anything else will need to be brought by performers.
Q: I don't play an instrument, but I want to sing, perform poetry, or read a short story. Can I still perform?
A: YES! We can pull a variety of instrumental backing tracks for those who want to sing. Otherwise, we will set beautiful ambient background music for those utilizing spoken word.
Q: My performance art doesn't utilize sound (i.e. lip sync, dance, visual art), can I still perform?
A: YES, please join us! We can play a track if needed and we are excited to enjoy the unique gifts you have to offer.
Q: What if I'm scared?
A: Do it scared! DAME provides a welcoming, low-pressure performance environment. It's the perfect place to try something new among friends. Regardless of whether you feel up for performing, we look forward to seeing you every Wednesday from 8-10pm!
