| Details: | In this class, students will explore which pastels to use, what kind of surface works best, and how to blend pastels as we build and strengthen skills. The class will start with lessons about how to use pastels and how to create gradients and value; then we’ll move into more complex techniques and topics including how to glaze and mix or cover with pastels. We will practice these techniques and more during one or two-session projects. This course is structured so that each lesson builds on the previous. Each student will see their work improve from project to project.
