| Details: | From September 6, 2025 through March 1, 2026, visitors to Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney, Texans will be able to let their imagination run wild as they travel back in time along a half-mile nature trail with 14 life-size animatronic dinosaurs. During the 20th Annual Dinosaurs Live! Life-Size Animatronic Dinosaurs exhibition, these animatronic dinosaurs will move and roar, providing an experience sure to captivate visitors.
This exhibit will also offer interesting facts about both herbivorous and carnivorous dinosaurs. Children and the young at heart will also have the opportunity to play on stationary baby dinosaurs. New this year, the nature trail where the exhibit is located has been paved, making it even easier for families to visit.
The exhibition is created by Dino Don, Inc. the world’s leading supplier of robotic dinosaurs to zoos and museums worldwide. The handmade animatronics are uniquely created under direct scientific supervision.
The company’s founder, “Dino” Don Lessem, is a world-renowned authority on dinosaurs. He was the dinosaur advisor to Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park and has authored 40 books on the subject. “Dino” Don is responsible for excavating and reconstructing the skeletons of the largest meat-eating and plant-eating dinosaurs in the world from the deserts of Patagonia.
