Whether you're in a new relationship, going through changes in your relationship, or trying to make a good thing better, this fun workshop is for you. Drawing on the work of Drs. John and Julie Gottman, this fast-paced session will introduce you to ideas and activities that can strengthen and enrich your relationship.
This one-time, 2-hour workshop is from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at Kindred Place.
The workshops are led by Jennifer Balink. Jennifer is a relationship coach, Gottman "Seven Principles" leader, art teacher, mom of two college-age children, and executive director at Kindred Place.
This workshop is pay-what-you-can with a suggested donation of $25. Registration is required, and you can save your spot by visiting www.kindred-place.org/making-relationships-work.
This workshop is for you if
you're empty nesters, a couple in a committed relationship, newlyweds, a married couple, new parents, parents of adult children, or anything in between
you're looking for new ways to reconnect and rekindle
you're seeking better conflict management strategies and tools
--
Benefits of attending:
Learn how to accommodate each other's needs without sacrificing your own
Learn how to find solutions to those "everyday" problems that couples fight over
Learn skills to manage conflict constructively
Learn how to connect on a deeper level
Learn to notice when your partner is trying and how to respond
--
What this workshop is not:
It is not therapy.
It is not an event for open sharing of personal problems. There's no public sharing or group discussion in this workshop; couples will be seated at tables, one table per couple, spread out in the room to give every couple some space to do a short, fun exercise in private.
