Details:Mixed Blood Theatre and Stop The Wind Theatricals announce a Sanctuary City Tour of their stunning production of 'A Trojan Woman' for a limited run June 3-7, 2026.

Written by Sara Farrington, 'A Trojan Woman' is a one-woman contemporary adaptation of Euripides 'The Trojan Women', launching a Sanctuary City Tour at the Mixed Blood Theatre in Minneapolis before traveling to The Magic Theatre in San Francisco.

Directed by Meghan Finn (Artistic Director, The Tank) and starring Kosovo actress Drita Kabashi, 'A Trojan Woman' brings an ancient story into the heart of todays headlines. Set in the aftermath of war, a woman and her child find themselves alone in a ruined city, echoing the sorrow and devastation of the women of Troy after the citys fall to the Greeks in the Trojan War. The play follows her journey as she steps into the voices of ten different characters each one telling a story of loss and survival.

\"I am delighted to bring 'A Trojan Woman' across the country to as many Sanctuary Cities as possible, said Stop the Wind Producer Carol Ostrow. It's a powerful story to tell. 'A Trojan Woman' grapples with and ultimately confronts the indiscriminate cruelty of war.

'A Trojan Woman' features scenic design by Christopher Swader and Justin Swader (DIG; Little Women; Dreamgirls), lighting design by Brian Aldous (The Invention of Tragedy; The Offending Gesture), costume design by Claudia Brown (The Place We Built; What I Did Last Summer), compositions and sound design by Mike Cassedy (The Invention of Tragedy; The Lesser Magoo), and is produced by Carol Ostrow of Stop the Wind Theatricals.
The play was commissioned by The Balkan Festival of Ancient Greek Drama and premiered in Athens. A Trojan Woman was further developed at Vassar Colleges Powerhouse Theater and Luna Stage in New Jersey and played at the Kings Head Theatre in London.
