About Our 2021 "Virtual" Quilt Show
Quilters Anonymous Guild is excited to announce its first ever Virtual Quilt Show, which will go live on March 12, 2021, remaining open through May 1, 2021.
We are proud to continue with the original purpose of the quilt show “to show the general public the work of QA members and encourage interest in quilting” in a different venue!
We hope you will enjoy viewing quilts, watching video demonstrations by members and merchants, and a virtual Merchant Mall March 12 through May 1, 2021 at qavqs.org.
Our guild’s show is probably the largest annual quilt show in western Washington. Our in-person show has drawn than 4,000 visitors from the Puget Sound region to British Columbia and beyond. We hope the virtual show will reach even more people.
We expect to display more than 400 quilts in 22 different categories, ranging from traditional styles to art quilts and other innovative designs. In addition we have demonstrations, a Merchant Mall, a gallery of quilts by Featured Artist Beth Hanson and quilts made by members who passed away in the last two years. There is something for everyone to enjoy at the show.
While the show is not juried, the quality of our quilts consistently demonstrates the skill and dedication of our members. Several of our members are world-renowned quilt teachers and authors, others have had quilts accepted into large national shows, but all of our participants have something interesting to offer.
This year's, our featured artist is the late Beth Hanson, an exceptionally talented and loved quilter.
Our Merchant Mall will be virtual as well, with links to the vendors' websites.
Demonstrations of various quilt-making techniques will be offered on the site by members and merchants.
Online from Friday, March 12 at 10 a.m. through May 1, 2021.
The virtual show is free.
